David Hawkin’s “your subconscious will only allow you to have what you feel you deserve”
What we believe we deserve, whether conscious or subconscious, life often seems to support. This is why we have all known that one person that knew what they wanted at a young age and sure enough are doing that thing as an adult. While that may or may not bother you when you see their posts on Facebook. Today we are going to discuss a very important factor in success, your mind.
After several tragedies struck the music industry in 2019, dozens of music professionals got together to start Backline, an industry-wide mental health initiative. The organization connects artists, music professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources. The collective is supported by some well-known names in the music industry, including Circles Around The Sun, Umphrey’s McGee, Cloud 9 Adventures, HeadCount and more. See how you can help Backline at https://backline.care/
We are not here today to pump you up full of false hope or say that everyone will become a wildly successful musician if they just believe in themself enough. But there are some strong reasons people succeed or don’t succeed that are connected directly to our brains. They can run really deep into our upbringing or just be conditioned from our environment. Whatever and wherever you are in this discussion we hope that you will take this chance to check in with yourself and gauge your position and how it aligns with your goals.
Action Item: Adopt your own method of inner communication can be as simple as a short meditation. Use a guided meditation (can be found on YouTube or Headspace) and start by just listening.
