In his late nineteenth-century essay, “Concerning the Jews,” Mark Twain made the following observation, "The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greek and the Roman followed and made a vast noise, and they are gone. . . . The Jew saw them all, beat them all. . . . All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?"

This open question, an explanation for the miracle of Jewish survival, and the religious meaning of Jewish history will be the center of conversation during Museum of the Bible’s upcoming speaker event, The Miraculous Case for God: A View from Jewish History—A Conversation with Rabbi Meir Soloveichik. Join us for a fascinating discussion with Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, minister of the oldest Jewish congregation in America and ambassador for Jewish faith to religious leaders around the world, and Eric Cohen, executive director of the Tikvah Fund, one of America’s preeminent Jewish think tanks and educational institutions, as they explore these great theological and historical questions.

The Miraculous Case for God: A View from Jewish History—A Conversation with Rabbi Meir Soloveichik will be held virtually, on a platform to be determined. Attendance is limited. Register today to guarantee your spot!

Presented in partnership with the Tikvah Fund.
