1st: Segment: The Big Bad Media
It’s no secret that most major media outlets in the United States have switched from journalism intended to inform the public, into corporate entities indirectly pushing a partisan agenda or political ideology. This level of bias; which is often the direct reflection of the commentator, network, or sponsors, has turned many Americans away from media as a source of information. IN this segment we ask the question when you hear the word media, what comes to mind? What is our media? What is it there for and what is it designed to do? What is the potential harm the media can have on the public? If the media can indeed cause harm to the public, should it not be regulated?
