“Behind the Mitten” is Michigan’s premiere travel radio show and Podcast, and since 2015 it has published more than 480 episodes. It is co-hosted by veteran journalist John Gonzalez and longtime chef & beer expert Amy Sherman. The show has been recognized by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters as Best in Category.

On today's podcast, John and Amy are joiuned by author Landon Beach.

Landon was born and raised in Michigan, but now lives in the Sunshine State with his wife, two children, and their golden retriever. He previously served as a Naval Officer and was an educator for fifteen years before becoming a full-time writer.

Beach’s novels are all set in Michigan. His Sunrise mystery series is set on the shores of Lake Huron, while his Great Lakes series travels to each of the five, with each book having a unique subjunctive. Originally from the Tawas area, Beach also has a new psychological thriller out called “Narrator”.
