500,000 pets are put down annually because their guardians can't afford veterinary care. That's where https://wagglefoundation.org/ steps in. At Waggle, they imagine a world in which all pets are given equal opportunity to live long healthy lives, providing the companionship and love that guardians seek to manage their own physical and emotional health and well-being. Listen in as we explore how Waggle is working to end economic euthanasia.
Thank you Prairie Conlon and CertaPet for bringing Waggle's mission of ending economic euthanasia to veterinary and animalwelfare professionals nationwide.
I am in need if help for my Zoe, my 15 year old cat, she is my life!! She gas6 been to the vet a lot recently with hyperthyroidism and early renal failure, requiring lots if6 meds, fluids, labs, etc. She has also a chronic lung infection from steroid usage for a long period of time. She puts me to sleep each night since I was in the hospital for 3 weeks on a ventilator. We are in dire straits due to losing our home and all our investments, etc.to the hospital to pay the bill. We are on a fixed income and I have Myasthenia Gravis, Luoys and a recent stroke as well as asthma and a shunt due to hydrocephalus so medical expenses are high. I adore my Zoe but we owe almost $600 to the vet now and she needs to go back in 2 weeks for labs and buy more meds.
What do I do in this case that I can't help him and my vets have not called me back with what we can do. I am assuming they are leaving him to die. Oh and also to mention I am Canadian, Canadians have it even WORSE when it comes to help with care and help with costs of care in Canada. With Waggle it seems's they cant help Canadians :disappointed:
Waggle was unfortunately NOT able to help me and my male 9 year old cat Stu when he had to go in to overnight care for 3 nights and 4 days with catheter fluid and the works ran me up $4000 last OCT 2019 even made a Gofund me raised a few hundred but not nearly enough. I got a stranger that is not a friend to approve for a credit card from Fair Stone in order to save my cats life or he would have died. I am sill currently paying that off and now my cat is blocked again oh and not to forget how the vets had no reason for why my cat is constipated dispite diet change and medications. He's blocked again for alsmst 2 weeks now called the vet 5 days ago to see what could be done as I don't have much money to help him.
