We have a great show today! We are talking about GOALS! Setting them, Working toward them, and Reaching them! Matt is joined by co-host Dr. Casey Sanders, Guest Matt Shaffstall (Colonial Mortgage) and Paul Kaskel (SuperherosCool.com). We talk about Colonial Mortgage and what makes them special, Superhero Scool and creating new superheroes, and how our guests help people reach their goals!
Before you can achieve anything great you have to know what you want to achieve... you have to have a finish line to the race. Whether it's business, life, fitness, or whatever... to succeed you have to have a GOAL.
Quotes for the Show:
“All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.” —Orison Swett Marden
“The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.” —Bill Copeland
“All successful people have a goal. No one can get anywhere unless he knows where he wants to go and what he wants to be or do. ” —Norman Vincent Peale
4 Tips for setting POWERFUL Goals:
1. Evaluate yourself and See where you are at.
1. You have to know where you are before you can decide where you want to go.
2. Define Your Goals
1. What do you want?
2. Stop and think about it... Set out to discover what it is you want out of life
3. Make your Goals SMART:
1. The acronym S.M.A.R.T. means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive.
4. Be Accountable, Setup Accountability.
1. Share your Goals with others.
2. They can encourage and keep you on track

Motivational Moments:
“You have to set goals that are almost out of reach. If you set a goal that is attainable without much work or thought, you are stuck with something below your true talent and potential.” —Steve Garvey
“Goals. There’s no telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There’s no telling what you can do when you believe in them. And there’s no telling what will happen when you act upon them.” —Jim Rohn
“I think goals should never be easy, they should force you to work, even if they are uncomfortable at the time.” —Michael Phelps
There are two schools of thought on goals. Some people would say, set small, simple goals and create a plan with steps to reach those goals, others, like me, would say; Dream up goals that are so big they are scary... then find the small steps to get you there, always with the end goal in mind. Dream Big, Have Scary Goals, and Reach for the stars... failures and obstacles will come your way... I would rather fail when reaching for something incredible than something mediocre. Neither approach is wrong... the important thing is to have those goals and dreams and keep yourself moving closer to them every day with a plan. Never give up, never be scared to try, and never let someone tell you that your goals are too big. A determined person with a goal or dream and a plan is unstoppable.
