Episode 2018.4. Extra Show
The Living Full Out show with Nancy Solari encourages you to break your addictions. Maybe you are having trouble with food, alcohol, or sleep. By escaping from those obsessions, you can feel more at ease or more like yourself. It is important in these situations to know that you are more than what you are struggling against and you deserve to move on with your life.

Our first caller, Amanda, is about to start her senior year in college. With so many other people competing for the same industry, Amanda is worried. She wants to know how to cope with the stress and anxiety of looking for a job and applying for a position relating to her degree. Tune in to hear Nancy teach how making steps toward achieving to your goal can be beneficial.

Our second caller, Susan, asks Nancy about her thoughts on when you should write someone off when they are being rude to others that she cares about. Nancy makes it clear that Susan gets to decide the role that people play in her life, whether they are seen every day or if it is only a few times a year.

Today’s inspirational guest is Brandon Ludolph. Brandon became an alcoholic after his divorce in 2004. He had two DUI's and was no longer a father to his kid by 2008. Brandon thought about suicide multiple times and had various run-ins with the law. He had completely lost who he was as a person. Brandon shares how his time in outpatient treatment facilities and trips to detox made him realize that he needed to make a change and break his addiction.

Our last caller, Els, is worried about the fact that her husband refuses to put his father in a care facility because he wants to ignore the fact that his father has advanced Alzheimer's. Els asks Nancy how she can get that message across without pushing her husband away. Hear how Nancy advices Els on how to find a facility they feel comfortable with.

To break addictions, Nancy suggests setting yourself free and starting a new chapter in your life. Slow down and be you. Look around and see what you are grateful for, people, possessions, or any event that you are looking forward to in the future. Focus on what uplifts you and when you compare that to the toxins, refuse to give those inclinations as much power as they have had before and focus on the positives. By reflecting on the advantages, you can learn from the past to stop yourself from succumbing to the addictions you once had. This will pave the way for you to take control and live full out.
