At the time her son was only 18 months old, and she was deeply worried about whether or not she would be able to watch him grow up. Susan has since become a cancer survivor and has overcame many additional adversities along the way, like the dwindling relationship with her ex-husband. Despite the painful experiences and challenges Susan has faced, she always chooses to retain an optimistic outlook on life.
