When most people think of government intervention, they have in mind burdensome rules and regulations that harm businesses and the economy.

But not all of them work this way. Some interventions establish a set of “artificial conditions” which actually help certain companies and industries.

The public education system is an excellent example of this. It was created by government intervention and to this day it relies on certain “artificial conditions” provided by the state for its very survival.
