Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. Brad is first joined by Dr.Margaret Klein Salamon, a clinical psychologist and now Founder and Director of 'The Climate Mobilization,' an organization that calls for moving from climate grieving to emergency mode.
Her radical new self-help guide, 'Facing the Climate Emergency: How to Transform Yourself with Climate Truth,' helps readers reckon with the terror of the climate emergency, process their feelings, and turn their pain into heroic action. Her Twitter handle is @MobilizeClimate.
The two discuss applying the same type of 'emergency action' response that has been used to fight COVID-19, but instead, using it to fight the climate crisis.
During the second half of the show, Brad leads a political round-table with Tim Zenk and Mark Grimaldi. The roundtable adds to the discussion of the topics covered in the first segment. They also hypothesize what type of President Joe Biden would be in the area of climate action if he wins in November.
