The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.
Brad is first joined by Hope Frye, an internationally recognized immigration lawyer focused on disadvantaged populations, especially women and children.
They discuss extremism, specifically focusing on Stephen Miller, the policy advisor who is credited with shaping the racist and draconian immigration policies of President Trump, and how he ascribes to 'replacement theory,' the same hateful ideology cited by the murderer in the recent mass shooting in Buffalo. Miller's hateful views manifested in Trump policies including Title 42 expulsions and baby snatching.
They also talk about how this hateful 'replacement theory' has been refashioned by today's G.O.P. as an attack on immigration and immigrants.
