A 20-year journalism veteran, Jamaal Finkley is CEO and Executive Producer of Black Tree TV. Utilizing his extensive editorial experience, Finkley has developed Black Tree into one of YouTubes’s most vibrant entertainment news and lifestyle platforms, generating more than 15 million unique visitors monthly and more than a billion video views worldwide since it’s inception. Jamaal began his entertainment career as a production assistant for legendary director, Spike Lee, and has become an influential voice on the urban entertainment landscape, having conducted definitive interviews with A-list celebs such as Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Monique, and Will Smith. As a producer, Finkley has generated content for organizations such as TV One, Stellar Gospel Music Awards and Disney; while as a journalist he has covered Hollywood’s top award shows and red carpets, such as the Academy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Golden Globes, American Music Awards, Grammy Awards, and SAG Awards, as well as pop culture events such as SuperBowl, NBA All Star and Fashion Week.

Kelly Armstrong has more than 25 years of experience in public relations and image consulting.
As the founder of Artist Development/Imagemaking, Armstrong enjoys helping people “be their best, by looking and feeling their best” in body and spirit by giving advice about skin care, makeup, grooming, overall personal appearance, presentation skills, and job readiness training, she also teaches Image Consulting at City College of San Francisco.

Armstrong has worked with KKSF Radio, partnered with the Plant Recording Studio and stores like Wilkes Bashford, she has dressed artists for album covers and videos, freelanced as a makeup artist with clients that included CBS 5 (KPIX), San Francisco’s Mayor Willie Brown, and taught makeup classes through CCSF Extended Education Program. Faz Restaurants, Marriott Marquis Hotel, Chevron, Renaissance Entrepreneurial Center, Independent Living, Brookside Hospital and San Francisco Unified School District, and others have also benefited from Armstrong’s public relations and image consulting expertise.
Working in the underserved Bayview Hunter’s Point neighborhood in San Francisco, Armstrong is the Founder of the Primed & Prepped: A Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Mentoring and Job Training Program at the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA. The purpose of the program is to help mitigate the barriers to employment to young males and females of color.
Formerly on San Francisco State University’s Hospitality Management Advisory Board she chaired the PR Committee, she was a part of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) with SAE Expression Media College. Armstrong has previously served as a Board of Governors with the Recording Academy, she created, and co-chaired the Urban Outreach Committee of the Recording Academy (a.k.a. The Grammys) and she was an inaugural member of KQED’s Community Advisory Panel. She has volunteered with The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).
Armstrong is married, resides in San Francisco, and has a passion for food, fashion, and music.
