show moreJosh (@joshuacliston) talks with his friend Benny Dale about how he discovered a love for running (Josh is finding this one hard to take), how Benny feels about the sunk costs of learning a musical instrument, and the guys finish up with their thoughts on setting little goals and having a crack!
Sunk Costs: (according to wikipedia)
“a sunk cost is a cost that has already been incurred and cannot be recovered. Sunk costs are sometimes contrasted with prospective costs, which are future costs that may be incurred or changed if an action is taken.”
Some quick ideas from the show:
- Both your Willpower and your ability to handle making complicated decisions can increase with a healthy amount of exercise in your day.
- Try to find a way to get yourself running – the human body is built to run (Josh is still coming to terms with this one himself).
- Make sure you are mixing up your exercise program – avoid becoming bored when working out.
- Allow your creative endeavours to suck every once in a while, and don’t get to down on yourself if your start thinking about the sunk costs of skills attainment.
- Have fun!
