Irish Farmers Journal news reporter Amy Nora Fitzgibbon was in Belgium and Holland last week on a number of farm visits. One of the farms she visited was an organic beef and vegetable farm in the southern region of Hilvarenbeek, Holland, close to the Belgium border. Owner Jan van den Broek spoke to her about the history of his farm, the philosophy behind organic farming, investment in the Irish Angus breed and his participation in a social farming scheme.
