Never Mistake Knowledge for Wisdom – Wisdom Unplugged
Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is day 547 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged.  This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.

Today's quote is from Sandra Carey who said "Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living, the other helps you make a life."Once again in our wisdom nugget today we contrast knowledge with wisdom. When we gain knowledge, it will help us to improve ourselves, and it will help us to obtain a better standard of living. The more we learn, the more opportunities we will have to succeed.

This is not guaranteed, though, because the application of that knowledge is also required. The application of that knowledge requires the second aspect that will help us to make a life, which is wisdom. Wisdom allows us to take the knowledge that we learned and then live a life that is rich and satisfying.

Many of us lack this second crucial aspect. Yes, it is important to gain knowledge, but it is even more important to seek out and gain wisdom so that our lives will have meaning and purpose. Wisdom comes from God and allows the application of knowledge into our everyday life. Proverbs 2:5-7 tells us, "Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.  He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity."That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged quote.
