Enslaved are coming back! Just two years after their enormous 25th Anniversary tour, black metal legends Enslaved are gracing our shores once again in support of their latest opus, 2017’s E. Off the back of such an expansive and immersive album, this is sure to be a tour to remember.

They’re hitting Australia in late August/early September alongside Icelandic veterans Solstafir, who themselves dropped their monstrous album Berdreyminn last year. With so much metal royalty packed onto one lineup, this should give any metal fan ample reason to get excited.

Lukas caught up with Enslaved bass player and frontman Grutle Kjellson to talk the Aussie tour, the myriad inspirations that went into crafting E and how the band’s process has evolved over the years. Enjoy!
