2019 has been a great year for Code Atlantic. As well as releasing debut E.P Eclipses, the Sydney band have also played with Pavillion and have an upcoming show with Glass Ocean and Opus of a Machine to look forward to. When asked if he thought this has been a breakout year for the band, guitarist Matt New smiled and nodded abruptly.

"Definitely, considering the climate in Sydney," he said. "We're definitely much further ahead than where we thought we would be at the start of the year. We have been blessed and excited with what's been presented to us in 2019. In the last few weeks, we've had two or three venues shut down for live music that would normally support the heavy community here as well which has made this more difficult than they should be. Obviously, with the lockout laws and the support for live music in Sydney, it is a very challenging environment as a live band to get an opportunity to have your music heard in a licensed venue but we're battlers and we keep pushing.

While establishing Code Atlantic as a serious player in the music industry, Eclipses has also opened up fresh and exciting opportunities for the band, with both the public and some of this countries heavyweight supporters of original music warming to the bands charm and sound.

"The response has been really good," New enthused. "We've had great support with some radio stations around the country. I want to take this opportunity to thank Andrew Haug and Tim at The Faction who have been great supporters of getting our songs heard through their platforms but surprisingly enough we've had a good local response and we've definitely had a good response to it up in Brisbane at the moment which is quite exciting."
