In a previous broadcast life, our predecessor WWPM MediaNet was a variety station. We featured shows like this one, shows who would otherwise not be syndicated. We did this with The Lace Show Radio Networks, Audibly Offensive Radio and the program you're about to hear, The Vault of Midnight Podcast.

The show was hosted by a young man named Tom Green, who would take on the moniker of "Tommy Toom" on the program. The show started off with the original lineup of Green and Andrew "The Astro Creep" Vanpoelvoorde beginning with the 2008 debut.

Co-host departures would happen for personal commitments and illness, as Vanpoelvoorde departed from the show in late 2010 and later replaced with temporary co-host Kacey Bruno. Bruno would depart from the show after Halloween and as a resolution to some personal conflicts, was replaced by Izzy Ramirez.

Ramirez would stay with the program until February 2011, who left to pursue other lifelong commitments. Previous guests Keith Mandell and Ben Havis would come on in co-hosting gigs until their departure leading to the "Metal Maiden" Jessica Linder being added to the lineup in late October 2011.

Just prior to Linder coming on board, the program attained syndication with Myrtle Beach, SC internet radio station 101.9 FOX FM (owned by James "DJ Lace" Clark's Deep South Media Group). WWPM MediaNet would later become a syndicated affiliate during Linder's tenure before leaving in 2012.

Green became music director of WWPM MediaNet in June 2012 until his resignation in November 2013, citing health concerns.

Because of these health concerns, it wasn't certain if the show would resume production. Green revolved hosting duties between himself, Scott "Scotty McRib" Milne and Trevor Bouslog, with Vanpoelvoorde making a brief return.

In 2014, a farewell broadcast was in the works. That broadcast, sadly, didn't get produced.

After a long battle with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease, Green departed from this life on March 24, 2015.

Deep South Media Group and the Heartland Newsfeed Radio Network have been working on production of a true farewell broadcast in honor of Green, but no definite date, with the potential to bring in the new era of the Midnight Vault with returning hosts or a new host roster altogether.

(This is one of those broadcasts from the vault - September 28, 2011 - where Green interviews Northern California-based band Toy Called God.)
