Sometimes we can send or pick up on signals about what we perceive as strength. It takes strength to simply get out of bed and go about your day, to go to work when you are struggling emotionally or mentally. Yet the emotions and thoughts that we battle with may be perceived by us as a weakness.
Our self talk affect our behaviours - then the guilt can start a snowball effect which can become a bigger problem. At my worst,I was processing over a hundred thoughts in my mind that I can now identify as individual concerns. The point is - there was never just one thing. It was a juggle and I think that's maybe the common theme with our mental health.
Knowing more about how you feel, why you feel it and ways that you can manage these thoughts and feelings can make such a difference. Being able to open up to someone else and simply say, I am not ok, and I am struggling today, can be so empowering.
1 in 4 adults - men and women, all ages of life, it can be anyone and everyone - are struggling with their mental health. It is more common that you may realise - you are not alone, reach out.
