Durell and Brittney talk about her growing up in the small town of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Brittney shares that Orangeburg is a very nice town and it’s a growing city that she wants to see change in. Durell asks Britney what were some of the unique experiences that made her want change and she shares simply that she was driven to make sure that the youth coming up after her didn’t have to experience the same things that she had to as a young person.

Durell and Brittney talk about the fact she is very driven which led her to start her non-profit organization for dis-advantaged youth called “I an Lavish Foundation, Inc. that focused on serving men, women, and children. She shared that she wanted to create and be a resource for people in the community who needed clothes for a job interview and things that could help elevate them to be able to succeed in the future. Brittney shared that she would give up her free time and open up her hair salon so that those in the community could have a centralized place to go to be able to fellowship with each other and receive the resources that she was helping to provide. Durell shares that he appreciates her for simply having the vision and energy to focus on youth and young people. Brittney and Durell discussed her next expansion for the youth and the creation of “The Brittney Lashe Youth Mentorship Program '' that serves youth ages 8-17 that focuses on providing resources encouraging them to become business owners, authors, and entrepreneurs. Brittney shares that she learned from an early age that she could use her talents to bring in extra income into her family and that was a huge moment for her to see that if a job can just let you go, you don’t have to be dependent to have to go looking for another job but more than that having the ability to affect change by creating opportunities to create paths for generational wealth.

Durell and Brittney end the episode talking about the books that she authored entitled “ The No Touch Zone”, Learning Who Father Is, and “The Blueprint To Starting A Business As A Young CEO” Durell asks Brittney about her approach to each book and she shares that she would write the book as a way of feeling for herself and then convert it into a children's book. Durell asks Brittney about her being honored by The Orangeburg South Carolina Rotary Club for all of the work she’s done in the community. She shares that she is still getting used to the recognition and that God had sent her signs that her table would be filled with so many amazing and influential people like the owner of Chick-Fil A and doctors from the hospital.

Brittney and Durell talk about the work that she does at the Samaritan House. She shares that she is a R.A. (Resident Advisor) and that she makes sure that the people living there have things like toiletries and other stuff that they need to get themselves back up on their feet.
