Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about living life awake by understanding how our brains work and how we can shift them. Kristin Walker brings her years of research on how to develop our neural wiring to initiate desired behaviors instead of being directed by autopilot. Our brains are always working for us but they operate from what we’ve learned and known from our upbringing, people’s inputs and life’s experiences. When we reach midlife we are often doing what we’ve always done and may not even know why. Kristin encourages listeners to wake up to their thoughts and behaviors, to begin to live life awake. The key is to live life awake is listening to what you think and say then questioning those beliefs. From there as we take the time to reflect on what it is we want, who we want to be we begin to get back in the driver’s seat. Just as these thoughts have been wired into our brains to become our dominant beliefs and behaviors, they can be rewired by rewriting the stories we’ve been telling ourselves. Our brain is for us so as we consistently rewire through intentionally shifting our thoughts and beliefs, it will begin to lead in that new direction.
