David Landini is an advocate for reviving historical pushes for a separate Australian state west of the Great Dividing Range to give greater autonomy for those living not just in his own state of New South Wales, but prospectively those in northern Victoria if not even adjoining parts of South Australia. The Wakool local is running in the NSW state election for the seat of Murray, currently held by former Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party MP Helen Dalton, and has strong words in support of independents - and against the Shooters and his own former party, the National Party.
