On Monday, January 8, ExxonMobil filed a petition to depose officials of the cities and counties in California that are suing to hold Exxon liable for necessary infrastructure improvements and damages caused by the effects of global climate change. Exxon’s filing alleges that these California jurisdictions that previously asserted their imminent harm from climate change did not disclose this on their bond offerings. Hon.
