Salmos 6:1‭-‬10 RVA2015:
Oh SEÑOR, no me reprendas en tu furor ni me castigues en tu ira. Ten misericordia de mí, oh SEÑOR, porque desfallezco. Sáname, oh SEÑOR, porque mis huesos están abatidos. También mi alma está muy turbada; y tú, oh SEÑOR, ¿hasta cuándo? Vuelve, oh SEÑOR; libra mi alma. Sálvame por tu misericordia porque en la muerte no hay memoria de ti; ¿quién te alabará en el Seol? Me he agotado de tanto gemir. Toda la noche inundo mi cama y con mis lágrimas empapo mi lecho. Mis ojos están debilitados por el pesar; se han envejecido a causa de todos mis adversarios. Apártense de mí todos los que obran iniquidad, porque el SEÑOR ha oído la voz de mi llanto. ¡El SEÑOR ha escuchado mi ruego! ¡El SEÑOR ha aceptado mi oración! Todos mis enemigos se avergonzarán y se aterrarán. Retrocederán y, de repente, serán avergonzados.


Este capítulo es muy bonito porque tiene un comienzo triste pero termina con un final feliz. Este salmo es especial porque comienza con una súplica y ruego al Señor, y después termina con la victoria obtenida al sentir la respuesta del Señor.
Al comienzo, el salmista confiesa cómo se está sintiendo en el momento de la aflicción. Es triste la situación en que se encuentra, y al parecer, es tan difícil lo que está viviendo que expresa cómo sus fuerzas han decaído, su ánimo está por el suelo y su alma está perturbada por la situación.
Esto es una parte importante: cuando entramos a la presencia de Dios, debemos ser sinceros con el Señor declarándole todo lo que estamos experimentando en nuestro ser. Debemos ser vulnerables con el Señor porque es el único que nos conoce y sabe lo que estamos viviendo. Además, el corazón de Dios se conmueve cuando ve a sus hijos siendo sinceros y transparentes.
Es por eso que la lección del día de hoy es la necesidad de entrar a la presencia de Dios para hablar con Él pero también para suplicar, rogar ante el Señor que tenga misericordia de nosotros, no teniendo en cuenta nuestros pecados y faltas, que manifieste su poder protector cubriéndonos de los ataques de los enemigos, y confesar que estamos dispuestos a poner toda nuestra confianza en Dios.

¡No dudes! Dios escucha la oración mezclada con clamor, súplica y ruego. Tus lágrimas no se están derramando en vano.
Recordemos las palabras del apóstol Pablo a los Filipenses en el capítulo 4, versos 6 y 7: "Por nada estén afanosos; más bien, presenten sus peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con acción de gracias. Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, guardará sus corazones y sus mentes en Cristo Jesús. "

Es por eso que este salmo concluye con una transición. Pasa de clamar a Dios en su desesperación a una declaración de confianza y paz al sentir en su oración que Dios se la ha contestado.

Cuando oras, ¿sientes al principio que el Señor no te escucha pero después sientes el abrazo del Señor confirmando que te ha escuchado?
Cuándo oras, ¿te desesperas rápidamente o te esfuerzas para esperar en el Señor?

September 21: In times of trouble, pray, cry out and groan to the Lord.

Psalms 6:1-10:
O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled; but You, O Lord—how long?
Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; in the grave who will give You thanks?
I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.
Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled;
let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.


This chapter is very beautiful because it has a sad beginning but ends with a happy ending. This psalm is special because it begins with a supplication and plea to the Lord, and then ends with the victory obtained by feeling the Lord's response.
At the beginning, the psalmist confesses how he is feeling at the time of his affliction. The situation in which he finds himself is sad, and it seems that what he is experiencing is so difficult that he expresses how his strength has declined, his spirits are on the ground and his soul is disturbed by the situation.
This is an important part: when we enter the presence of God, we must be sincere with the Lord declaring everything that we are experiencing in our being. We must be vulnerable with the Lord because He is the only One who knows us and knows what we are experiencing. Furthermore, God's heart is touched when He sees His children being sincere and transparent.
That is why today's lesson is the need to enter the presence of God to speak with Him but also to supplicate, plea before the Lord to have mercy on us, not taking into account our sins and faults, to manifest His protective power covering us from the attacks of the enemies, and confess that we are willing to put all our trust in God.

Do not hesitate! God hears the prayer mixed with cry, supplication and plea. Your tears are not being shed in vain.
Let us remember the words of the apostle Paul to the Philippians in chapter 4, verses 6 and 7: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

That is why this psalm concludes with a transition. He goes from crying out to God in desperation to a declaration of trust and peace by feeling in his prayer that God has answered it for him.

When you pray, do you feel at first that the Lord does not listen to you but then you feel the Lord's embrace confirming that He has heard you?
When you pray, do you quickly despair or do you strain to wait on the Lord?
