Octubre 15: ¡Por esto clamo al Señor!

Salmos 30:1‭-‬12 RVA2015:
Te glorificaré, oh SEÑOR, porque me has levantado y no has dejado que mis enemigos se alegren de mí. Oh SEÑOR, Dios mío, a ti clamé y me sanaste. Oh SEÑOR, tú has hecho subir mi alma del Seol; desde la fosa me has vuelto a la vida. Canten al SEÑOR, ustedes sus fieles; celebren la memoria de su santidad. Porque su ira dura solo un momento pero su favor dura toda la vida. Por la noche dura el llanto pero al amanecer vendrá la alegría.
Yo dije en medio de mi tranquilidad: “No seré movido jamás”. Tú, oh SEÑOR, por tu buena voluntad estableciste mi monte con poder. Pero escondiste tu rostro, y quedé turbado. A ti, oh SEÑOR, invocaré; al Señor suplicaré: “¿Qué provecho hay en mi muerte cuando descienda a la sepultura? ¿Te alabará el polvo? ¿Anunciará tu verdad?”. Escucha, oh SEÑOR, y ten misericordia de mí. SEÑOR, sé tú mi ayudador. Has convertido mi lamento en una danza; quitaste mi vestido de luto y me ceñiste de alegría. Por eso mi alma te cantará y no callará. Oh SEÑOR, Dios mío, te alabaré para siempre.


En este salmo vamos a mirar varios elementos y razones por la cual el salmista era un experto en ese estilo de oración que es el clamor.
Clamor es cuando uno habla con Dios pero de una forma donde continuamente le está pidiendo con un corazón humilde y dependiente, expresándole entrega y fidelidad total.
Es la oración que no se convierte en una alternativa en la vida del que clama, pues tiene en claro que es la única opción y salida para la solución a sus dilemas.

El salmista expresa que cuando clama al Señor, ¡Él lo sana! Posiblemente habla de una sanidad física, corporal, pero también podemos notar que es una sanidad del alma, de esos momentos cuando se encuentra vacío, o más bien perturbado porque está pasando por un momento de confusión, es cuando uno quiere avanzar pero su corazón está atascado, tiene un impedimento o una dificultad que no le permite expresarse, seguir adelante, ser feliz y disfrutar de las bendiciones de Dios, no puede ver el camino que Dios tiene trazado para su vida.

¡Sí! Cuando sientas que has perdido la esperanza, cuando tú mente este atribulada y tu corazón confundido, ¡qué mejor acción que el elevar un clamor que salga de lo profundo de tu ser al Dios Todopoderoso para que sane tu mente y pensamientos, tu corazón y sentimientos, y que tu espíritu sea revitalizado y tu alma pueda una vez más elevarse a las alturas!
Cuando ocurra esto, te van dar ganas de cantar y contarle a todo el mundo lo que Dios ha hecho contigo.
A veces vemos las consecuencias de nuestras malas acciones y decisiones. Sufrimos cuando ofendemos a Dios, pero el salmista reconoce que cuando Dios se enoja, es por un momento temporal; pero que Su amor, misericordia y gozo es para toda la vida. El no es un Dios rencoroso que te está recordando y exhibiendo tu pasado delante de ti todo el tiempo, contrario a como usualmente hacemos con los miembros de nuestro hogar.
Aprendamos del Señor que Su enojo no es permanente sino que Él prefiere extendernos Su perdón; y más bien obrar a favor nuestro para sanarnos, restaurarnos y liberarnos. Él se goza más en vernos progresar que vernos metidos en este hueco donde a veces caemos por descuidados o por testarudos.
Permite que el Señor transforme tu tristeza en alegría y tu lloro en un cántico de agradecimiento por la liberación.

October 15: For this I cry out to the Lord!

Psalms 30:1-12:
I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.” Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.
I cried out to You, O Lord; and to the Lord I made supplication: “What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth? Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper!”
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.


In this psalm we are going to look at various elements and reasons why the psalmist was an expert in that style of prayer that is crying out.
Clamor is when one speaks with God but in a way where is continually asking Him with a humble and dependent heart, expressing dedication and total fidelity.
It is the prayer that does not become an alternative in the life of the one who cries out, since it is clear that it is the only option and way out to lower the solution to their dilemmas.

The psalmist expresses that when you cry out to the Lord, He heals you! Possibly it speaks of a physical, bodily healing, but we can also notice that it is also a healing of the soul, of those moments when it is empty, or rather disturbed because is going through a moment of confusion, it is when one wants to move forward but their heart is stuck, they has an impediment or a difficulty that does not allow them to express themselves, to move on, to be happy and enjoy the blessings of God, they cannot see the path that God has laid out for their life.
Yes! When you feel that you have lost hope, when your mind is troubled and your heart is confused, what better action than to raise a cry that comes from the depths of your being to Almighty God to heal your mind and thoughts, your heart and feelings, and that your spirit be revitalized and your soul may once again rise to the heights!
When this happens, you will want to sing and tell everyone what God has done with you.
Sometimes we see the consequences of our bad actions and decisions. We suffer and offend God, but the psalmist recognizes that when God gets angry, it is for a temporary moment; but that His love, mercy and joy is for life. He is not a spiteful God who is reminding you and displaying your past in front of you all the time, contrary to how we usually do with members of our household.
Let us learn from the Lord that His anger is not permanent but that He prefers to extend His forgiveness to us; and rather work on our behalf to heal, restore and liberate us. He is more pleased to see us progress than to see us stuck in this hole where we sometimes fall due to carelessness or stubbornness.
Allow the Lord to transform your sadness into joy and your weeping into a song of thanksgiving for deliverance.
