Agosto 28: Muerta, viva, tibia.

Apocalipsis 3:1‭-‬16 RVA2015:
“Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Sardis: El que tiene los siete Espíritus de Dios y las siete estrellas dice estas cosas: Yo conozco tus obras, que tienes nombre de que vives, pero estás muerto. Sé vigilante y refuerza las cosas que quedan y están a punto de morir, porque no he hallado que tus obras hayan sido acabadas delante de Dios. Acuérdate, pues, de lo que has recibido y oído. Guárdalo y arrepiéntete. Si no eres vigilante, vendré como ladrón; nunca sabrás a qué hora vendré a ti. “Sin embargo, tienes unas pocas personas en Sardis que no han manchado sus vestidos y que andarán conmigo en vestiduras blancas, porque son dignas. De esta manera, el que venza será vestido con vestidura blanca; y nunca borraré su nombre del libro de la vida, y confesaré su nombre delante de mi Padre y delante de sus ángeles. “El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.

“Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia: El Santo y Verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, el que abre y nadie cierra, y cierra y nadie abre, dice estas cosas: Yo conozco tus obras. He aquí, he puesto delante de ti una puerta abierta, la cual nadie puede cerrar; porque tienes un poco de poder y has guardado mi palabra y no has negado mi nombre. He aquí, yo te daré algunos de la sinagoga de Satanás, de los que dicen ser judíos y no lo son, sino que mienten. He aquí, yo haré que lleguen y se postren delante de tus pies, y conocerán que yo te he amado. Porque guardaste la palabra de mi paciencia, yo también te guardaré a la hora de la prueba que ha de venir sobre todo el mundo habitado, para probar a los moradores de la tierra. “Yo vengo pronto. Retén lo que tienes para que nadie tome tu corona. Al que venza, yo le haré columna en el templo de mi Dios, y nunca jamás saldrá fuera. Y escribiré sobre él el nombre de mi Dios, y el nombre de la ciudad de mi Dios —la nueva Jerusalén que desciende del cielo, enviada por mi Dios— y mi nombre nuevo. “El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.

“Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Laodicea: El Amén, el testigo fiel y verdadero, el origen de la creación de Dios, dice estas cosas: Yo conozco tus obras, que ni eres frío ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueras frío o caliente! Así, porque eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, estoy por vomitarte de mi boca.


En ese capítulo miramos las últimas tres iglesias. Recuerda que cada una representa el estado espiritual de cualquier congregación hoy en día o el estado espiritual de cada cristiano.
Te recomiendo que leas y estudies todo el capítulo completo para que aprendas de cada uno de los mensajes que Dios ha dado, mostrándoles en que están fallando, las consecuencias por no cambiar y la recompensa si deciden cambiar.

A la iglesia en Sardis la reprende porque vive engañada, pensando que está viva pero la realidad es que está muerta. Su apariencia de vida piadosa no es verdad, pues ha dejado de hacer la voluntad de Dios y está muriendo lentamente. Dios le da una oportunidad para que se reactive y que no permita que mueran los dones de Dios.
A la de Filadelfia le da palabras de halagos por su fidelidad en los momentos de prueba. También le da palabras de ánimo para que siga resistiendo y la exhorta a retener la corona que Dios le ha dado, o sea, que guarde los dones que Dios le ha concedido.
A la de Laodicea la reprende por su doble ánimo, doble vida, por su conformismo de vivir una apariencia de abundancia cuando realmente es una iglesia miserable, pobre, ciega y desnuda. Se ha conformado con la estabilidad económica y social pero espiritualmente es raquítica y no está agradando a Dios.

Jesucristo nos hace una invitación para que abramos la puerta de nuestro corazón y la de nuestra familia para que reflexionemos cómo estamos viviendo nuestras vidas espirituales. No nos engañemos a nosotros mismos, pretendiendo que estamos bien; ni tampoco vivamos vidas para agradar al ser humano. Más bien que reconozcamos nuestros errores y esforcémonos para buscar más de Dios, pasando las pruebas y no conformándonos con las filosofías y deseos de este mundo.
En conclusión, debemos desarrollar una relación más transparente y más confiable con el Señor. Nuestro Señor Jesús nos invita a que voluntariamente abramos la puerta de nuestro corazón para que lo dejemos entrar y que desarrollemos una relación sincera con Él. Sin tapujos, sin dobleces.

August 28: Dead, alive, warm.

Revelation 3:1-16:
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.


In that chapter we look at the last three churches. Remember that each represents the spiritual state of any congregation nowadays or the spiritual state of every Christian.
I recommend that you read and study the entire chapter so that you learn from each of the messages that God has given, showing them where they are failing, the consequences for not changing, and the reward if they decide to change.

He rebukes the church in Sardis because they live deceived, thinking that they are alive but the reality is that they are dead. Their appearance of godly life is not true because they have stopped doing God's will and are slowly dying. God gives them an opportunity to reactivate and not allow the few gifts of God to die.
He gives words of praise to the church in Philadelphia for their loyalty in the moments of trials. He also gives them words of encouragement to continue resisting and exhorts them to retain the crown that God has given them, that is, to keep the gifts that God has given them.
He rebukes the church in Laodiceans for their double spirit, double life, for their conformism of living an appearance of abundance when they really are a miserable, poor, blind and naked church. They have settled for economic and social stability but spiritually they are rickety and are not pleasing to God.

Jesus Christ invites us to open the door of our heart and that of our family to reflect on how we are living our spiritual lives. Let's not fool ourselves by pretending that we are okay; nor do we live lives to please the human being. Rather, let us acknowledge our mistakes and strive to seek more of God, passing the tests and not conforming to the philosophies and desires of this world.
In conclusion, we must develop a more transparent and trusting relationship with the Lord. Our Lord Jesus invites us to voluntarily open the door of our hearts so that we allow Him to enter and that we develop a sincere relationship with Him. Openly, without pretending.
