David's commentary: "So today's idea is a very strong support for the previous lesson, 'I am not the victim of the world I see.' Because by saying, 'I have invented the world I see,' it brings causation back to the mind, to the maker, to the maker of images. And you cannot be a victim of images if you are the maker of images. This maker is not the Christ, but it is an attempt to miscreate using the mind of Christ - the mind that was given its reality by God. So it's a step, this is a step to reclaim the projections, like in the movie 'Tron': the main character has to merge with 'Clu,' a maker of a world; has to integrate and see that there is no external world, there is no external maker of the world. I have said often, 'If you spot it, you got it' - and this is a version of this lesson for today, 'I have invented the world I see.' This is a step in seeing the impossibility of projection. I've said before, the mind can either extend or project, but projection is the attempt to get rid of something that you do not want, and projection is always of the ego. Extension is a synonym of creation - God creates in Spirit, Christ creates in Spirit, and that is all. So in coming back to creation, in coming back to Spirit, we first withdraw the projection and state in our heart, 'I have invented the world I see.' And this opens us up to the vision of Christ, to a state of mind that knows not of projection and knows not of perception, a state of mind representing the idea, 'Be still and know that I am God' - a state of mind prior to perception, prior to time. As we read in the text today, 'the only aspect of time that is eternal is the present.' And the Holy Spirit, Jesus, are in charge of the Atonement; They know the way, They know the way inward to the Kingdom of Heaven. The Holy Spirit can use the symbols to teach the mind that it does not understand the symbols, that the mind will NEVER find meaning in symbols. Symbols are representations, but you have to WANT what they represent. If you want happiness, first the Holy Spirit will guide you to the REAL world, to true perception, to the happy dream, and in this perfect non-judgement, the symbols are not accorded different meanings or separate meanings. The symbols are seen to be all the same. And that's why Jesus asked us in his text, 'make this year different by making it all the same.' Allow the Holy Spirit to show you the sameness of illusions, the sameness of images. This is the forgiven world. And so in sincerity and in earnest anticipation we practice with our lesson today: 'I have invented the world I see.'"
