Art Is King Podcast 46 - Lord Yatta

I have officially known Lord Yatta for 20 years. I first met him in the basement of a house in Oakhurst in Decatur where he was doing tattoos with SuperMan.

If you know anything about the history of Tattoos in Atlanta, then you will know about SuperMan, his start at West End Tattoo with Julia Alfonso and his eventual spinoff in Decatur GA.

It was at that time that I came across SuperMan and Lord Yatta. The year was 1995.

Two years later Lord Yatta and I along with my brother Yesca, Mecca and Paydreus opened Vantage Pointe Studios in SouthWest Atlanta off Ralph David Abernathy and Cascade Road.

Our paths as artists continues to this day and I recently had the chance to interview Lord Yatta at West End Tattoo where Red Locks is now the owner and 1995 feels like a long time ago.
