Politics and Current Events - our panel will be discussing Voters Rights, Voter Suppression and the GOP Civil War - in a bipartisan manner until the name of Governor Chris Christie is invoked! Dial-In number is: 347-996-3187.

BB Belford Vance Lawson III– As a federal attorney, former District of Columbia trial lawyer and field criminal investigative attorney- U.S. House of Representatives, BB has an impressive legal background. An Ivy-League graduate (Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown and Penn Universities), he has taught at several DC Metro area colleges and law schools. Professor Lawson is still involved in education, currently a delegate to Montogomery County CPTA. A highly-regarded athlete, he was inducted into the inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame at Groton School in 2012. He is a member of the National Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Margaret at Lawson Mulvihill- As a broadcast and print Journalist, Margaret covers politics and current affairs. In her role as a media relations specialist, she works on state and national political campaigns, and advocates for the disabled. She is a Certified Peer & Family Mentor at The Reeve Foundation, a member of the National Press Club, and the DC Chapter Board member with responsibility for Chapter PR of the Society of Professional Journalists. She was previously on the communications committee and is a Past Editor of the Dateline newsletter. Margaret has judged the Green Eye Shade Awards and the Dateline Awards in 2013. She writes a monthly column for the Washington Women in Public Relations blog.

Julie Donohue O'Brien- As a former elected official at both the Municipal and County levels in the state of New Jersey, Julie has spent many years advocating for the voiceless among her constituents. She spent four years as Director of Constituent Relations in the office of New Jersey Assemblywoman Connie Wagner and is currently Director of Passaic County Programs for a non-profit anti-poverty agency where, until accepting her current post she served six years on the Board of Directors.
