Ci sono dei negozi che ho sempre visto chiusi, altri invece che hanno in vetrina oggetti impolverati e dove non ci entra mai dentro nessuno - anche perché le rare volte che li vedo aperti, c'è una ragazza seduta sulla porta che ostruisce l'ingresso.

Ci sono dei negozi nella mia città che ogni volta che ci passo davanti penso, ma chissà che cosa saranno veramente questi posti. Mi spiego, perché sono negozi che io ho visto sempre la saracinesca chiusa che non ho visto mai nessuno dentro, oppure negozi che hanno pure una vetrina che io posso vedere passando davanti però che, niente, è tutto polveroso, hanno le cose tutte messe accatastate una sull'altra. Nella vetrina ci sono le cose più disparate: costumi da bagno buttati così alla rinfusa, neanche appesi a una stampella, niente, proprio buttati alla rinfusa, gomitoli di lana, pezzi di fettuccia, voi immaginate tutte le cose che si possono trovare all'interno di una merceria. Questa merceria in modo particolare, di volta in volta ha dei cartelli con su scritto 'affittasi', a volte c'è scritto 'vendesi', a volte addirittura ci ho visto dentro una persona, era una persona che aveva la sedia proprio sull'uscio, così che anche se una persona avesse voluto entrare per vedere quello che vende, avrebbe dovuto letteralmente scavalcare la persona seduta nella sedia. Questa persona è una ragazza giovane, abbastanza giovane, è sempre lei che ogni paio di mesi la vedo seduta sull'uscio. Confesso che la mia tentazione è grandissima del vedere che cosa c'è dentro. Ripeto, ultimamente ho visto dei costumi da bagno ma veramente, che sembrano di vent'anni fa, durante l'inverno invece - evidentemente aveva fatto il cambio stagionale della vetrina - c'erano dei piumini ma anche questi, buttati così senza grazia né disgrazia, che sembravano veramente impolverati, e poi non abbastanza antichi da essere vintage. Quindi proprio cose, boh, che non so se mai nessuno comprerà. Quindi non lo so, non so se anche dalle vostre parti ci sono questi negozi che non si sa bene se siano la facciata, ci sono anche diversi negozi che vendono scarpe simili a questa merceria, che hanno scarpe antiche non abbastanza da essere vintage ma abbastanza che nessuno le compri. There are some shops in my city that every time I see them I think, who knows what these places really are. I mean, because they are shops that I have always seen the shutters closed, I have never seen anyone inside, or shops that also have a window that I can see passing in front but that, nothing, it's all dusty, they have all sort of things stacked up, one on top of the other. Right, for example in the immediate vicinity of my home, for example, there is a butcher's shop that since we came to live here, now it will be almost four years ago, well I have always seen the shutters closed (these are the noises that come from the open window). Then there is a haberdashery with a dusty window. In the shop window there are the most disparate things: swimwear thrown in such mess, not even hanging on a crutch, nothing, just thrown in a mess, balls of wool, pieces of ribbons, just imagine all the things that can be found inside of a haberdashery. This haberdashery, specifically, from time to time has signs that read 'for rent', sometimes also 'for sale', sometimes I even saw a person inside it, it was a person who had a chair right at the door, so that even if a person wanted to get in to see what they are selling, one would literally have to step over the person sitting in the chair. This person is a young girl, quite young, it is always her, I see her every couple of months, sitting at the door. I confess that I am really tempted to see what is inside. I repeat, lately I have seen some swimsuits but really, they seem to be from twenty years ago, during the winter instead - evidently they had changed the window for the season - there were winter jackets but these too, thrown in a pile helter skelter, and they looked really dusty, and then not old enough to be vintage. Who knows if anyone will ever buy anything. So I don't know, I don't know if also in your area there are these shops that you don't know if they are the front for something else, there are also several shops that sell shoes similar to this haberdashery, they have old shoes, not old enough to be vintage, but enough that nobody buys them. I repeat, I don't know if there such strange shops also in your area, that you don't know if they are open or closed.
