I think it's really interesting that Mr. Crane had such ideas for carrying on the Hogan's Heroes story. But I really think the series creators/network really missed the boat by cancelling when they did. As a huge fan of the show, I feel that a final season which would begin with perhaps the invasion of France, or better yet the Allies crossing into Germany itself would have been a gold mine of fantastic story ideas. Imagine the panic among the guest stars such as Burkhalter and Hochstetter as the walls close in and they plan their escape, perhaps with the aid of Hogan and his men. Imagine the state of the camp and characters like Klink and Schultz in a near contstant state of confusion. I think it would have been marvelous television and could have been the most successful of all the seasons! As an amateur writer myself, I have often toyed with story lines for a final season. So naturally I am looking forward to this podcast and I will enjoy it thoroughly!!
