If you're getting ready to wild out and celebrate Canada Day, don't know if this episode is for yah! The word nimiety [ni-mahy-i-tee]. The 80s, 90s films and music videos were trash! Shout-out to Sherley's Hairdresser, Miss TK - @tksgiftedhands (The Texture & Balayage Specialist), for this reality.

As 'Cancel Canada Day' draws mixed reactions, Sherley and Clove discuss residential schools and how the country systematically tried and continues to eradicate Indigenous peoples. Indigenous, First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultures. The spirit of the children whose lives have been stolen is speaking through the graves with fellow survivors. They lift a veil of their truth by the dark reality of Canada's past regarding the residential school system. Plus, the updated version and continued systemic racism through child services and foster care in the country. ** Trigger Warning ** We describe some of the experiences of survivors.

Thanks to Afua Mfodwo; we discovered a new sub-genre of music called Amapiano "that uniquely combines the uptempo rhythms of Afrobeats with the catchy midtempo beats." It's SO GOOD if you love Chicago House or Afrobeats, listen! Omopiano playlist by harmattanrain.com is now available on Spotify or Apple Music.
