Whilst the weather remains a fairly stable influence in our lives - https://sites.google.com/view/olabomdia/weather?authuser=0 - it seems the 'new normal' is a less easy concept to grasp and cope with.

As well as looking at the current Covid 'numbers' - https://www.theportugalnews.com/news/covid-19-portugal-update-11-august/55276 - it seemed important to acknowledge the need for inspiring and uplifting news outside the pandemic lens.

If the response to the virus and its impact is left solely to governments, corporations and trans-global organisations, the picture may remain confusing and subject to agendas other than our own.

If, however, we take responsibility for and get involved in local and community life - as is traditional in Portugal - we may envisage and create a less fearful and more fulfilling vision for ourselves, our families and localities - and ultimately a reality.
