It would be errant, I think, to not address the Corona virus phenomenon in Portugal, and also its global implications.

Starting today, season four of the Good Morning Portugal show and podcast will look at the realities, possibilities and practicalities of what's looking like a pan[dem]ic.

Let's work together on this, sharing our fears (about what might happen) and our fantasies (about what could happen) as this thing unfolds in front of our eyes.

I've long thought our current system, unsustainable as it is, would come apart. I didn't think it would be a virus that would initiate the change.

I also think we have the wherewithal, imagination and a responsibility to transform the current broken system and situation, that honours a few, into a new kind of society, which honours and supports the many.

It might not be easy. But I honestly believe we can do it, if we work together, and that Portugal is a great place in which to bring about a new vision for human life (-:
