In this episode, Taylor is interviewing Andrew LaTour, founder and owner of GembaRed. Being a biohacking enthusiast, Andrew dramatically changed the trajectory of his physical wellbeing and used that knowledge to influence his search for an optimal light environment. Knowing the benefits that red light exposure could provide, Andrew was on a mission to find an affordable option to use at home. Instead, what he found were expensive options that did not have the education and science know-how to back them up– so, he created his own solution.

Using Andrew’s personal research and knowledge base, Taylor and Andrew spend a generous portion of their time discussing the many benefits of red light therapy, Taylor even referring to it as a “panacea.” These benefits are anchored in mitochondria function and include amping up your skin-care, muscle recovery after a workout, brain and eye health, and even sexual performance.

Once the benefits are established, Taylor and Andrew shift the conversation to actually using red light therapy and explain if it is better for certain individuals over others. As Taylor later points out on the GembaRed website, Andrew has made it easy for all of us by being completely transparent. Not only are there different types of panels to choose from, but the description of each product goes into detail on the intensity and distance to be away from the panel itself.

Tune in to learn more!
