The BUZZ had the chance to attend the 50th anniversary celebration for CBS Daytime's, "The Young and the Restless." Cast members, current/new/alumni, walked down the red carpet at the Vibiana and relived some of their fondest memories of the show. Our first part of the interview series begins with interviews including:


Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) spoke with us about her favorite episode(s), as well as a behind the scenes story of the episode which led to her first Emmy win.

Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) talked about how her character is still well received by fans after 3 decades, as well as auditioning for the role of Cassandra Rawlins.

Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti) spoke about returning to the series after a short absence, having a grown on-screen daughter, and what his favorite memory was in playing the role.

Phil Morris (Tyrone Jackson) spoke about what it was like to play the role of a black man posing as white to take down a mob boss. He also mentioned reuniting with former cast members at the ceremony.

Scott Reeves (Ryan McNeil) chatted with us about the storyline that captivated the Y&R audiences, which centered around Victoria/Ryan/Nina, as well as his final episodes when Tricia Dennison shot and killed her former husband.

Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) spoke about bringing her "Bold and the Beautiful" character to Genoa City, as well as crossing over to former soap, "As The World Turns," and if we could see Amber again in the near future.

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) talked about her favorite memories at the show, as well revisiting her Pine Valley days as Annie Lavery on, "All My Children."

Veronica Redd (Mamie Johnson) spoke about coming home to Genoa City again, the rivalry between Jill Abbott and Mamie, and her role as Edie on an episode of, "The Jeffersons."
