Three people were killed Sunday in two multiple vehicle crashes in Robertson County.
DPS trooper Jimmy Morgan says the first crash took place Sunday afternoon north of Hearne on the Highway 79 overpass. 47 year old Christopher Evan of Hearne was killed while driving a car that
collided head on with a wrong way pickup towing a utility trailer. The driver and passenger of the pickup, from Ruston, Louisiana, were taken to a Bryan hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Sunday night on Highway six south of Hearne near FM 2549, a three vehicle crash killed a brother and sister from Lexington. DPS reports a northbound SUV was rear ended, pushing the SUV over the
center line where it was struck head on by a car. The driver and passenger in the SUV who died were 19 year old Wesley Sanders and 22 year old Maegan Sanders. The driver of the car involved in the
head on collision, who is from Tyler, was taken to a hospital in Temple with undetermined injuries. The driver of the car that rear-ended the S-U-V, who is from Arlington, was not injured.
