The Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) board has approved $1.5 million dollars of repairs to the dam at Lake Bryan.

BTU general manager Gary Miller says this is separate from repairs after a crack was found in the dam in December of 2015.

While repairs are underway, Miller says there is a new operator of the Lake Bryan restaurant. The Hook is open Thursday through Sunday nights and Sunday afternoon.

And with the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, Miller reminds visitors that Lake Bryan's policies includes no glass, no open bonfires, and animals must be on a leash.
