Forgive my ignorance with this next one. When speaking to say the graveyard spirits or the trees ect. are you physically speaking or are you going into a meditative state and doing it telepathically?

I’ve noticed a trend with older practitioners. Me being new and growing up with the internet. It’s seems to me people who came up before what I like to call “strip mall occultism” seem to have not necessarily an easier time getting into the occult but a lot less nonsense to sift through between all the authors and online personalities. Are are ultimately better off for it.
