The misunderstanding of salvation have been greatly misunderstood by the church today. Salvation is God's Free Gift without any human merits but that it is by the grace of God through personal faith in Jesus Christ. (Eph. 2:8-9) There are many Christians who are doubtful as to whether they are saved simply because they are convinced that they are responsible in maintaining their own salvation. Christ's death on the cross secures that of the believer's salvation; not based upon a person's self-effort nor strength. Because of the believer's faith in Christ that our salvation is eternally secured by which there is nothing that can separate us from the love of Christ. Sin does not affect that of our salvation but that of our fellowship (1 Jn. 1:9). As believers we have the full confidence and assurance that our salvation is secured in Christ based upon what the finished work of Jesus Christ (Jn. 10:28-29).
