It’s been almost a week—the swelling in my leg has increased. For the first time, I’m unable to sleep. I’m scared, maybe there’s damage or sickness? What makes me nervous isn’t the pain—its not knowing what I did to deserve a swollen leg. “Old age,” I keep telling myself. The body must learn to keep up with me or I’ll leave it behind. Oh body oh body old you are getting—but not now! Not until you’re 90!
