I swore to myself that I'd never visit those moments in writing when there's challenge and serious change. Then my heart gave me something new to think about it, "What if your dark trails truly weren't meant for you but rather others?" Being a daily writer is one thing. Being truthful to the writing without masks and shields is a tightrope positioned not over a valley but stretched between here and somewhere out there in space. Head doctors endlessly teach their patients to write things then and if need be throw it away. That saddens my heart. All of that art put in a place of no more. Every artist I talk with speaks openly about how their creations never come from happiness. Most admit they wouldn't have a lasting loving relationship with something if it were positive. I get it! Life isn't perfect. Unless you look on Facebook and Instagram and it seems like all is OK. Writing is a dangerous game only to those who feel others may read it. Imagine what it's like for me to challenge myself daily to take those lessons handed to me by a loving God and hear him say "It wasn't meant for you. Teach my other children."
