Angelena attended the #ShareHerJourney Rally in Toronto, Canada on the 8th of September, 2018 during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Guest speakers included actress and activist Geena Davis, founder of the Geena Davis Institute for Gender and Media, director Amma Asante, Dr. Stacy L. Smith of the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative and many others who rallied for more opportunities for women in the industry. TIFF has made a five-year commitment to increasing participation, skills, and opportunities for women behind and in front of the camera. We will prioritize gender parity with a focus on mentorship, skills development, media literacy, and activity for young people.
