Lily is joined by Nevada state assemblywoman Selena Torres and Principal Renee Fairless of the Mater Academy Mountain Vista charter school. Assemblywoman Torres and Principal Fairless helped develop AB 219, which provides language accommodations for English language learners in Nevada. In this podcast, Lily talks to Renee and Selena about their experience getting AB 219 passed, and the importance of addressing the injustices that English language learners face in the school setting.
