Therapeutic sessions with the likes of Peppi, Buster Bunny or Gambler may seem untraditional, but at the Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program (STEP), exactly such therapeutic sessions have already been helping individuals with disabilities for almost 35 years. With a team of volunteers assisting to make everything possible, physical and occupational therapists at STEP have been helping individuals grow and advance through programs like Classical Hippotherapy and Hearts, Hooves and Healing. In this podcast Executive Director Kay White talks with Diane Donato about why these experiences with horses can make such a difference for those struggling with a variety of disabilities.
