Jimmy Barrett and Shara Fryer take you through the stories that matter on the morning of 03/26/2019, including: Now that the Mueller Report has been submitted, Democrats may have an even steeper uphill battle to the White House in 2020. They’re already battling the socialist left wing of the party and a strong economy under Trump. A lot of political capital was staked on the outcome of the Mueller investigation… and now he’s said there was ‘no collusion’ and ‘no conspiracy.’ Trump’s vindication but the Mueller investigation is a devastating rebuke to Democrats and their media handmaidens, all of whom insisted his guilt was guaranteed. Even as we learn the details of what Mueller found, there remains a giant black hole about the very origins of the FBI investigation that led to his appointment in the first place. Was the initial decision to investigate Trump’s campaign an honest mistake by the Obama administration? Or was it an attempt to rig the election in favor of Clinton, and when that failed, overthrow a duly elected president? Those outstanding issues are as worthy of complete answers as those that Mueller investigated. The Mueller report says ‘no conspiracy’ and ‘no collusion’… but the Democrats are moving the goal post, still claiming that regardless of the conclusions of the 40-million dollar, 22-month investigation, collusion is self-evident. On Saturday, 2020 presidential candidate former Representative Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) stated that President Trump, “beyond the shadow of a doubt, sought to, however ham-handedly, collude with the Russian government,” to influence the election. He added, “If you’re wondering about collusion, then when you saw the president of the United States standing next to the leader of Russia on that stage in Helsinki, Finland, defending him and taking his word for it against our own intelligence community in our country, in George Will’s words, not mine, that is collusion in action.” O’Rourke further stated, “Ultimately, I believe this will be decided at the ballot box in 2020” by the voters. So-called chickenpox parties, in which parents expose their kids to the disease based on the belief that it will be more serious if contracted as an adult, are not a new concept. Before vaccines became available, the parties used to be very popular for diseases such as chickenpox or measles. Although these parties are far less common now, parents will still occasionally advertise having a child with chickenpox at home, inviting other parents with small children to come "get it over it and develop lifelong immunity." Are chickenpox parties a good idea? No, they really are not a good idea at all. Chickenpox parties were an OK idea in the days when parents had no other way to build long-lasting immunity in their children. But since the introduction of the chickenpox vaccine in 1995, parents no longer need to go to these extremes. They have a much safer way to make sure their kids are protected for years to come.
