Dick Fain is still on vacation, so Hugh Millen fills in once again. The Mariners did it again, winning 6-3 against Kansas City last night, taking 11 of the first 13 games of the season. They've also scored six or more runs in 11 of those 13 games. If they do it tonight, they'll become the first team in history to do it in 12 of 14 games. How long before you become a believer in this team? Hugh says if they're within three games of the AL West lead in early July, he'll believe, but that's exactly where they were last season. With so many guys on prove-it deals this year, could this be the result of a whole bunch of players trying to show their worth? Jamal Crawford became the oldest player in NBA history to score 50 points in a single game last night.
