Despite the regular season ending over two months ago, the NBA Awards were finally announced yesterday. The MVP, James Harden, doesn't match up to easily the best player in the game, LeBron. Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons was actually in his second year, and was outplayed by rookie Donovan Mitchell in the playoffs. Coach of the Year Dwane Casey is no longer the coach of his team. How can all of this be true yet these are the awards. The NBA needs to either move the awards up, or include the post-season when voting on them.
