After a lackluster set of divisional weekend games, we expected excitement from yesterday's games and we got it, even if the outcomes of the games were disappointing to most. Rams and Patriots, really? We may all hate the Patriots with every fiber of our collective being, but there's no denying the greatness of Brady, Belichick, and company. The missed call in the NFC game yesterday was unacceptable, and it highlights a problem with refs in the NFL. Some are saying that refs need to be full-time, and though there might be truth to that, it isn't the full solution. The league needs to take more time to develop good refs, use former pro and college players that could actually play the game, and maybe younger guys with better reaction time.
