show moreThis episode, Darkroom Arts, is essentially about creating art work using the darkroom in the simplest ways possible. The darkroom is literally a dark room. It’s a workshop where photographers develop their film and prints. The room is completely dark, except for the light that comes out of the safety lights and the enlargers. This is because when working in the darkroom people use light sensitive paper, which is also known as photographic paper. If there was any other type of light in the room, the film and prints would get destroyed. In this episode I discuss my love of photography, especially when the darkroom is involved. I also talk about photograms and pinhole cameras because I find that they are the simplest uses for the darkroom, not to mention cheap, experimental, and enjoyable. All the information I have used for this episode is from my background knowledge in photography that I’ve learned from classes.
